Next Level and Project End
Toronto City Hall consists of two high-rise buildings, which are curved inwards. Both buildings together have 960 windows, respectively 960 pixels. The brightness of the individual pixels could be adjusted in 16 steps. Furthermore, it was possible to create own animations with Quartz Composer or Stereoscope Paint, a simulator for Mac OS X and iPhone was available.
The team decided collectively to end Project Blinkenlights after Stereoscope and hopes for further development by the next generation of experimental hackers, technicians and designers.
Stereoscope was awarded the audience prize at Nuit Blanche Toronto.
