Improvements after relaunch
The German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs completely relaunched its website in 2020. Due to changes in European law, requirements became apparent during the implementation phase that were not yet foreseeable during the conception phase.
For this reason, a new, accessible navigation mechanism was needed that could be easily used by people with disabilities.
A prototype revealed further tasks
When testing the navigation with a prototype, it quickly became apparent that the information architecture was illogically structured for users and that it needed a new, clearer clustering.
In addition, new modules based on the existing TYPO3 content management system were developed to meet specific client needs, and the operation of existing modules was optimised.
