As one of the largest local distribution network operators nationwide, NBB ensures the safe and flawless operation of the gas supply in Berlin and large parts of Brandenburg, extending into Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to pure supply, this also includes the maintenance and expansion of the pipeline network infrastructure as well as securing and handling network access and network transmission for a large number of gas distributors.
After its foundation in 2006, NBB quickly established itself as the operator of a strong, economic and secure network. Today, it bears technical and commercial responsibility for networks in more than 160 cities and municipalities in Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. As a large grid company, we serve municipal utilities, grid operators and energy traders nationwide with our extensive consulting and service portfolio.
One System for Three Clients
A multi-client system based on TYPO3 was designed for NBB and a separate visual design was created for each of these clients, whereby the modules of the CMS only had to be developed once and were immediately available to all three clients.
For NBB customers, online tools were created that allow, for example, a simple entry of their gas meter reading via a form, or an interactive map that allows both a search for NBB contract installer and provides information on the status and duration of construction work on the gas network.
